Lash After Care

LASH AFTER CARE

How do I take care of my extensions?

  • CLEAN DAILY!!! It is EXTREMELY important to keep them clean. Natural oils, debris, old skin, and bacteria get trapped in your lash line and affect your retention. If you neglect cleaning your eyelashes, you will lose extensions faster, damage to your natural lashes, and possibly more serious conditions. Use an extension safe cleanser with a clean, fluffy eyeshadow brush. I find it easiest to do this in the shower.

  • To remove makeup- use an oil-free makeup remover to gently remove any makeup around the eye. Garnier Fructis Micellar Water (pink lid) works great! You still need to cleanse them with a proper lash shampoo after removing makeup with remover.

  • Do not pick or pull at extensions.

  • Avoid hot steam or sauna, ovens or BBQs and other extreme heat. If you come in contact with hot heat, you're risking your lashes being singed or melted together.

  • Do not use an eyelash curler OR mascara!

  • Avoid sleeping on your face.

  • Brush with a clean mascara wand daily. By combing your lashes daily, you stimulate new growth and keep them looking their best. DO NOT over brush- 2x a day is good.

  • When drying your lashes, gently pat your towel on them to absorb most of the water. Let air dry before brushing through. You can use your blow dryer on the LOW and COOL setting to dry them faster.
